Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked chickpeas drained and rinsed
  • 0.25 cup tahini
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice fresh
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 0.5 tsp ground cumin
  • 3 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
  • 0.75 tsp salt
  • 2-4 tbsp cold water as needed

Method
 

  1. Add chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, turmeric, cumin, and salt to a food processor.
  2. Blend until mixture starts to become smooth, scraping sides as needed.
  3. With processor running, drizzle in olive oil.
  4. Add cold water gradually until hummus reaches desired creamy consistency.
  5. Blend for 1–2 additional minutes until light and fluffy.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, then serve.

Notes

For extra smooth hummus, peel chickpea skins before blending.
