- Simmer cranberries, brown sugar, and spices until thickened.
- Whisk yolks, cornstarch, and sugar in bowl.
- Heat milk and cream until steaming.
- Temper eggs with hot milk.
- Cook custard until thick and silky.
- Stir in vanilla and salt.
- Layer cranberry and custard in cups.
- Chill 2 hours before serving.
Notes
Do not boil custard or it may curdle.
