Ingredients
  

Soup Base
  • 6 cups vegetable or chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger grated or sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 cup carrots julienned
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 6 oz noodles rice or wheat

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Ladle

Method
 

  1. Heat sesame oil in a pot and sauté onion until soft.
  2. Add garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant.
  3. Pour in broth and simmer for 10–15 minutes.
  4. Add carrots and mushrooms, cooking until tender.
  5. Stir in soy sauce and add noodles, cooking until tender.
  6. Adjust seasoning, garnish, and serve hot.

Notes

Add leafy greens or protein for extra nourishment.
