Method
- Mix yeast, sugar, and warm milk. Let foam.
- Add butter, egg, vanilla. Stir in flour and salt.
- Knead dough until smooth. Let rise 1 hour.
- Prepare caramel in saucepan. Pour into baking dish.
- Roll dough, fill with butter, sugar, cinnamon.
- Cut and place over caramel. Rise 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes.
- Invert and serve warm.
Notes
Best served warm. Add nuts or fruit if desired.
