- Add basil leaves and sugar to a cocktail shaker and gently muddle to release aroma.
- Pour in lemon juice and gin.
- Fill shaker with ice and shake vigorously until well chilled.
- Double strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
- Garnish with basil or lemon and serve immediately.
Notes
Use fresh basil only and avoid over-muddling to prevent bitterness.
