Bread Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1.5 cups blueberries fresh or frozen
Cream Cheese Swirl
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Mix in dry ingredients alternating with milk until just combined.
  5. Fold in blueberries gently.
  6. Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Layer batter and cream cheese mixture into pan, swirling gently.
  8. Bake 50–60 minutes until set. Cool before slicing.

Use room-temperature ingredients for the smoothest batter and swirl.
