Ingredients
  

Pastry
  • 2 sheets puff pastry thawed
  • 1 cup strawberry jam
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tbsp milk

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Roll puff pastry and cut into squares.
  4. Fold corners to form hearts and place on tray.
  5. Add cream cheese and strawberry jam.
  6. Brush edges with egg wash.
  7. Bake 18–22 minutes until golden.
  8. Cool and dust with powdered sugar.

Notes

Do not overfill to prevent leaking.
