Ingredients
  

Cake Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup milk
Cinnamon Swirl
  • 0.33 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1.5 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp butter melted

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Alternate mixing in dry ingredients and milk until combined.
  5. Mix cinnamon swirl ingredients in a small bowl.
  6. Layer half the batter, sprinkle swirl, then repeat and swirl with knife.
  7. Bake 45–50 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Let loaf cool completely before glazing for best texture.
