- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook onions until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
- Add garlic to the same pan and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Stir in orzo and toast for 1–2 minutes.
- Pour in warm vegetable broth and simmer until orzo is tender and liquid is absorbed.
- Lower heat and stir in cream, Parmesan, salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme.
- Simmer 2–3 minutes until thick and creamy.
- Serve topped with crispy onions and fresh herbs.
Notes
Add a splash of broth when reheating to loosen the sauce.
