Ingredients
  

Salad
  • 4 cups mixed baby greens
  • 6 fresh figs halved
  • 1 apple thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cup walnuts or pecans toasted
  • 0.33 cup goat cheese or feta crumbled
Vinaigrette
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1.5 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp honey
  • to taste salt and black pepper

Equipment

  • Large salad bowl
  • Small whisk

Method
 

  1. Wash and dry greens thoroughly and place in a large bowl.
  2. Slice figs and apples and set aside.
  3. Toast nuts in a dry skillet until fragrant; cool.
  4. Whisk together olive oil, vinegar, mustard, honey, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add fruit, nuts, and cheese to greens.
  6. Drizzle with vinaigrette, toss gently, and serve immediately.

Notes

Dress just before serving for best texture.
