MIMM: A fun-filled few weeks

It’s been awhile since I linked up with the lovely Katie for Marvelous Monday! It’s been a busy few weeks, and I figured the best way to bring you all to speed is a fun MIMM post!

Last Friday Nick and I headed to CT for a wedding of one of Nick’s high school friends. It was nice to spend some time with all of his HS friends and their wives/girlfriends.

Nick had a conference in NYC, so we went and enjoyed a meal at Casa Mono with our friend Tom. It was extremely dark so I didn’t take any photos, except for one. The amazing brussel sprouts, the best I ever had at a restaurant. If you know you are going to the city, definitely have a meal here!

Nick and I also had a wonderful breakfast (more on that later) and spent some time walking around the city before I headed back to CT and the B man.

I also was able to snag some time with my girl Cait, and try Agave Grill in Hartford. Girls nights are great for the soul.

Last, but certainly not least, I have been taking classes at Studio Poise in Lynnfield.

Danielle, the owner, has graciously allowed me to take as many classes as I can in one month, and share my experiences with you all. So far I have taken Poise Fusion and Poise Xpress and it has been extremely humbling. I have a post coming this week to tell you all more about this wonderful studio, until then you can also follow them on twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram!

Celebrate We Will

I had a blast this weekend, I was honored to be a part of my best friends special day. It seems like just yesterday that I got a text saying she had met her now husband, and now they are married!

The wedding was awesome! It had so many unique DIY touches that were amazing. At each place setting was a mad libs-esque card that you filled out for advice for the couple. The ring bearers carried a sign that said “here comes your bride”, and many others. I can’t believe the day has come and gone.

Here are some of my favorite photos from the bridal shower in July and the wedding!

4 Years!

Today we have been married for 4 years! It is hard to believe it has been 4 years already. It was crazy this past weekend, my sister-in-law got married at the same location as we did and had a few of the same vendors, it was like déjà vu!

Here we were 4 years ago:

Bachelorette Recap: The Preview & a Giveaway!

If you follow me on twitter you probably know already that it was my sister-in-law’s bachelorette this weekend. We planned for the event to be in Boston so that I could host all the girls. It was a lot of fun and everything went off smoothly.

Part of what I did (with my sister) was to make a goodie bag for everyone in attendance, stocked with party treats.

Let’s start with the bags:

IMG 2054

Each girl received a tote bag that I personalized with their name.

In the bags:

IMG 2056

A reusable plastic cup, personalized with their name, to use throughout the night.

IMG 2060

A nip of their favorite liquor, for me tequila.

IMG 2063

Gum, water, and chocolate

IMG 2062

flip flops, a makeup remover wipe, lip gloss, nail polish & file, hand sanitizer and mardi gras beads (from New Orleans)

Most of our night was spent on this:

Which was why we included some of the items listed. Plus we were able to give everyone their bag at dinner and they wouldn’t have to lug it around all night!

Now here is your chance to win one of the bachelorette bags, stocked with your favorites.

This giveaway ends Tuesday, June 18, 2012, at 11:59PM EST. Entering is easy, but make sure you write a comment for each method of entry so that they are all counted when I randomly select the winners!

REQUIRED: Tell me which item you love the most from the bachelorette bag above!

Follow @cupcakekellys on Twitter.

Tweet “I want to win a customized bachelorette bag from @CupcakeKellys! http://bit.ly/NtZYvt” and include the tweet’s link when you comment saying you did so.

Good Luck Everyone!

Busy Little Bees

I am be in the minority here, but I love when my weekends are full. Especially when they are full of fun stuff!

I can tell you that as of now I have one free weekend between now and August.

I like knowing what’s going, it makes life easier to plan, at least for me.

It also doesn’t hurt that my weekends are full of weddings, bachelorettes, bridal showers, graduation parties, running, races, I could go on and on.

I am blessed to have a healthy family and a wonderful extended family.

Living life, no matter how busy, is how I want to be. Living, not waiting for it to pass me by.

Thursday Things

1. My little munchkin is finally crawling! He had been pulling himself up on things even before he started crawling. I think he will be walking in no time.

2. Nights out with friends are not the same as they once was. I, for one, was a mess the next day. Nick and I had a full day planned and it was pouring. If we didn’t have plans I would’ve stayed in bed most of the days. Although I did bounce back quicker than I thought I would.

Also a lesson in photos.
This is what you look like when you’ve been dating less than a year:

Special.

3. I have the itch to plan a vacation. I want to go to the beach, who is with me?

4. I am so excited for this weekend. I am finally meeting Cait! I am also attending my sister-in-laws bridal shower. So pumped for the champagne tower, and obviously celebrating her big day.

I also have this dress to wear. Love.
