Playlist Thursday: POP

I am linking up with Pavement Runner today. I LOVE his music posts, mostly because I am always looking for new running songs to add to my playlist, but because of the format of his posts.

Here is the format via Pavement Runner:

Something Old: These will be songs that are at least 5 years old. I know that isn’t too long to be considered old, but music turnover happens quickly.

Something Current: These will be songs that have been released within the past year. I know, but you have to give me some leeway here.

Something to Consider: These will be songs that are not typically heard on the radio and may be by artists you’ve never heard of or considered running to. This is the wild card category, can be old or current.

Today’s theme is: Pop. I am not one to shy away from a good pop song, get ready for an awesome playlist.

SOMETHING OLD

Artist: LFO
Title: Summer Girls
Side Note: Gotta represent the Boston Boy Bands
Quotable: There was a good man named Paul Revere. I feel much better baby when you’re near. You love fun dip and cherry Coke. I like the way you laugh when I tell a joke

SOMETHING CURRENT

Artist: Pink
Title: Blow Me (One Last Kiss)
Side Note: Not exactly the happiest song, but Pink songs have the anger I need to get a fire lit under my feet.
Quotable: I think that life’s too short for this, I want back my ignorance and bliss. I think I’ve had enough of this, blow me one last kiss.

SOMETHING TO CONSIDER

Artist: Backstreet Boys
Title: Larger Than Life
Side Note: I won’t tell you how many times I have seen them in concert, all you need to know is that they have some energetic songs for your run!
Quotable: Looking at the crowd. And I see your body sway, c’mon. Wishin’ I could thank you in a different way, c’mon . ‘Cause all of your time spent keeps us alive
