We’ve been pretty lucky lately that a lot of our friends have come to visit! I wanted to share one of our more recent outings!

Our friend Tom, came for a weekend, and one of his requests was to dine at Legal Harborside. We decided to get a little fancy and dined on the second floor.

We started with a delicious bread basket

The chef sent a carrot ginger cold shot to each table, it was a bit strong for my taste though.

For dinner I had the prosciutto wrapped tuna with butter beans, heirloom tomato and smoked spring onion.

It was perfect

Both Nick & Tom had the filet mignon with alaskan king crab, mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and béarnaise sauce.

After dinner we made our way to the third floor for a cocktail

We headed out for a beer and then made our way home. It was an early one for me since I had to get up and run 7 miles.

The next day we walked around Back Bay, had lunch at Cafeteria

For dinner we headed to the North End, I have my preferred standbys but lines were long, I couldn’t find parking and we were getting hungry. We decided to try Vinoteca di Monica.

Best random find ever. All the pasta is made fresh in house. While the restaurant is pricy, I would definitely suggest as a splurge night!

For dinner I had the special: Lobster Risotto with Shrimp & Prawns.

Everything was cooked perfectly, Monica’s is getting added to one of my go-to North End restaurants.

We headed to Harvard for a night cap and then made our way home.

It has been years since Nick and I just went downtown and hung out, it was nice to play tourist for a weekend and to have a few amazing meals out.
