What’s up 2012?

I am a little behind this new year & goals post, I was on vacation from Christmas to New Years, and then I got a nasty cold that still won’t go away. Feel free to skip this next few if you are sick of these posts.

I have been pretty unhappy with my weight for years. I finally got a personal trainer, started eating healthy and working out regularly. I was becoming more comfortable with my body and my fitness, and then I became pregnant. Now believe me, B is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I do not regret him for one single second. I do, however, wish that weight loss was a bit easier for me.

I am well aware that “Rome wasn’t built in a day” type of logic, but weight loss just isn’t easy, and adding the baby factor & now no gym is even harder.

After being discouraged by my weight loss thus far and talking to my doctor, I have come up with a plan. Working out 5 days a week. I have a treadmill, boss ball & resistance bands in my home. I will probably add some weights or kettle bells as well. I plan to run at least 3 times and strength train at least 2 days. In terms of diet, I eat clean 80-90% of the time. I did weight watchers, but it wasn’t the yes plan for me. I decided simple calorie counting is the way to go.

For tracking purposes I am going to use, Nike+ for running and Lose It for calorie counting and water intake.

For accountability, I am using you, my awesome readers, to keep me in line ;).

I have written my weight, my goal weight and measurements. Each month I will post how much I have lost and in what areas. If I don’t want to be embarrassed, I better do the work.
