Today, I am 35 weeks along and the baby is the size of a honeydew melon! Their is less space available for the baby now, he is taking up almost all the space available, which would explain the swift kicks to the ribcage and the hips. His kidneys are fully developed and his liver is almost fully developed, he can process some waste! Babycenter tells me, most of his development is done, however he will spend the next 5 weeks gaining weight. Ten pound baby here we come!
My hormones are out of control, I get very emotional about everything, but especially my body, I am already insecure, and I know everything is for baby b so I am trying to not let my insecurities get the best of me. Big props to my husband for putting up with me.
How far along?: 35 weeks, 1 day.
Total weight gain? This week I gained 4 pounds, yikes. This baby is going to be a cute chubby baby :), puts my total at +26.
The Bump: I used photo booth on my laptop and then another with my phone, so they’re not great, but I do what I can when I am alone taking the photos, so it’s a pretty terrible photo. I am trying really hard to not get down on the rest of my body in this photo. All I can say is I can’t wait to get cleared for working out again.
What I’m excited about/looking forward to: I WANT MY FURNITURE. I am so impatient, and being a hormonal pregnant woman is not helping.
Maternity Clothes: It’s hot, I am a sweaty mess in the heat under normal circumstances. I am staying inside in shorts and tank tops for as much time as possible.
Symptoms: I have heartburn every morning for some reason, but it usually goes away after an hour or two. THe worst has been my hips. like excruciating pain when I get up to go to the bathroom around 4 am. I also have an appetite fit for a horse, and no signs of letting up yet.
Labor Signs: Nothing yet.
Milestones: 35 week check-up with the doctor early next week. Plus our first father’s day this weekend!
Today’s Question: I plan on writing a post, with my personal opinions, on how to handle friends that are pregnant or have newborns. Any questions you want me to answer?
